Two-vehicle collision near Covington Rd and Railroad St leaves two people injured
Linn County, IA – According to the LCSO, the two-vehicle accident occurred right after 4 p.m. Sunday.
It happened near Covington Rd and Railroad St. in Covington.
Linn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies discovered that two vehicles crashed at the location.
A passenger car traveling south on Covington crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle traveling northbound.
The 55-year-old driver and only occupant of the southbound vehicle refused medical treatment.
He was later identified as Keith Bascom.
The 23-year-old driver and the 26-year-old passenger of the northbound vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatement.
They were later identified as Shania Sersig and Jesse Timm.
The accident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
