Waterloo, IA – According to the state officials, the airport leaders must apply for the money before May 25.
The Iowa Department of Transportation said that airports that decide to not apply will have the allotted amount distributed to the state’s other commercial airports.
The following projects are eligible for the money – terminal improvements, parking structures, and hangar projects.
According to the state officials, the money can’t be used for fuel systems, the purchase of more land or buildings, air service projects, vehicles, planning studies, general aviation terminals, hangar renovations, routine building and pavement maintenance and parking lots.
