Suspect charged with attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm in connection with Hillandale Road shooting

Davenport, IOWA – According to the police officials, the 31-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Thursday.

His name is Brandon Branigan and he is now charged with attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm and intimidation with a dangerous weapon, court records say.

The charges stem from May 23, 2021 shooting incident that left one person seriously injured.

The shooting occurred on Hillandale Road.

Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.

When the officers arrived on scene, they found one victim.

Police said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
