Several agencies respond to barn fire on Frozen Hill Rd

Linn County, IA – Linn County Sheriff’s Office said this incident occurred right before midnight late Tuesday night.

It happened on Frozen Hill Rd.

Prairieburg Fire Department crews, Anamosa Fire Department crews, Coggon Fire Department crews and Central City Fire Department crews responded to a report of a structure fire.

The responding crews found the barn fully engulfed in flames.

LCSO said the blaze reportedly spread to a corncrib and a well house.

Inside the barn that originally caught fire were several animals.

Unfortunately, none of the animals survived, officials, said.

Authorities believe the fire was caused by heat lamps in the barn.

This incident remains under investigation.
