Police investigating shots fired incident Monday night at 1317 Dover St

Iowa City, IA – According to the Iowa City Police Department, the shooting occurred right before 8 p.m. Monday night.

It happened at Mercer Park located at 1317 Dover St.

Iowa City Police Department officers responded to a report of a large fight.

While responding to the scene, officers were advised by dispatchers that witnesses reported multiple shots fired.

When the officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found evidence of a shooting at the scene. 

No one was injured in this incident, police said.

This incident remains under active investigation by the Iowa City Police Department.
