Local man arrested on gun charges following West Fifth Street and Bayard traffic stop

Waterloo, IA – Police officials said the 18-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday, March 16.
His name is Amarri Nash and was arrested following West Fifth Street and Bayard traffic stop.
Nash is now charged with interference while armed and carrying weapons.
The responding officers said the passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Nash, had a concealed weapon on him.
The weapon had the serial number scratched off, police said.
This incident remains under investigation.
