Fire heavily damages house on E. Lincoln St

Marshalltown, IA – According to the Marshalltown Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 12 p.m. Thursday.

It happened on E. Lincoln St. 

Marshalltown Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire.

The responding crews discovered that the two-story residence was fully engulfed in flames.

Due to the extent of the fire, a defensive operation was established.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and conducted a search of the building with no one found inside.

Marshalltown Fire Department crews remained on scene for 2 ½ hours.

No one was injured in this incident, officials said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
