Fire damages house on Waukbeek Road, no injuries reported

Waubeek, IA – According to the LCSO, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 7 a.m. Friday morning.

It happened at 1017 Waukbeek Road.

Multiple agencies responded to a report of a house fire.

The responding crews found the home and garage fully engulfed in flames.

The person who lived there was already out of the home.

Some of the household pets may have perished in the fire.

Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen and the cause is still under investigation.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Linn County Sheriff’s Rescue 57, Central City, Alburnett, Springville, Coggon, Prairieburg, Anamosa Fire Departments and the Center Point Ambulance responded to the house fire.
