Fire damages Davenport home Thursday evening

Davenport, IA – Right before 5 p.m. Thursday, Davenport Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire.

This incident occurred in the 3100 Block of West 66th Street.

The responding crews discovered that everyone escaped the home before they arrived on scene.

Crews saw a split foyer home with smoke coming out of the chimney when they arrived.

They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

Unfortunately, the house had heavy smoke conditions throughout.

Officials said that the family was displaced by the fire.

No one was injured in this incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
