Extreme cold temperatures are shutting down several Iowa COVID-19 testing sites

Polk County, IOWA – According to the health officials, the new testing site at River Place will be closed through Friday.
Officials have announced that it’s too cold to keep crews outside to take samples.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Des Moines Public Schools testing sites at Hoover High School and Kurtz Opportunity Center are closed Wednesday and Thursday because of the severe cold.
People who had scheduled appointments for those days will be notified via email, officials said.
