Des Moines police investigating fatal hit-and-run crash

Des Moines, IA – According to the Des Moines Police Department officials, the fatal crash occurred on Thursday.
It happened near East High School.
Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers found one juvenile female victim.
Police said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the unidentified victim was struck by an SUV.
The vehicle should have damage on its front end, police said.
