Everyone is looking for something fun to do this holiday season and I can’t think of anything more safe to do than driving around the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa looking at all the creative Christmas light shows and beautiful displays. You can tell these folks love Christmas and pour an immense amount of time (and money) into their shows and displays.

This comprehensive list includes displays in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Evansdale, Gilbertville, Waverly, Sumner, Vinton/Mt. Auburn, Center Point, West Union, New Hampton and Decorah. Right now, the list includes a whopping 16 displays, with addresses included to pop into your GPS and Facebook links for more information. Prospect Light Show

Remy’s Light Show

Description: Static light display set to six songs.

A Little Christmas Light Show

Description: Display of lights set to music. Tune to FM 103.9FM

Sumner Christmas Lights

Description: This is a whole park of lights, blow ups, cut outs with music with dancing lights.

Krumwiede Light Display

Description: This is a display of 100 or more wooden handmade cut outs of every character you can imagine, with lights and music in the background.

Waverly Lights

Luminous Lamos Lights – Christmas Light Show

Kersten’s Christmas Lights

Festival of Lights
Address: Riverview Conference Center, 439 N. Division Street, Cedar Falls
Dates: December 11 – 13, 2020
Times: 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Description: Charity Event to raise money for the House of Hope. Cost is $20 per vehicle. They will have 17 Christmas Light Displays.

Hickory Hills Light Show
Address: 3338 Hickory Hills Road, La Porte City
Dates: November 29th and December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th and final show on Christmas Eve.
Times: 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Description: Thousands of lights illuminating the campground featuring whimsical displays and familiar holiday characters. Cost is $10 per vehicle.

Blue Creek Christmas

Description: This is a neighborhood display of dancing lights and music – extremely high tech.

West Union Festival of Lights

Description: Over 40,000 lights have been added to the Festival of Lights in West Union.

New Hampton Little Light of Mine Light Project
Address: Mikkleson Park, New Hampton

Decorah Holiday Lights
