CFPS: Man charged in connection with the theft of approximately 4300 rounds of .223 caliber rifle ammunition over two days
Cedar Falls, IA – Right before 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Cedar Falls Police officers responded to a report of a robbery.
The responding officers responded to the Blaine’s Farm & Fleet and discovered that two males left with a quantity of ammunition without paying for it.
The suspects reportedly stole approximately 1300 rounds of .223 caliber rifle ammunition and fled the area prior to officers getting on the scene.
On Wednesday, officers would be called back to Farm & Fleet for one of the males being back in the store in the ammunition aisle.
The responding officers made contact with the male and he was taken into custody without incident.
The 22-year-old man, later identified as Jalen Seals, has been charged in connection with the theft of approximately 4300 rounds of .223 caliber rifle ammunition over two days.
Seals is now charged with the following charges: Felon in control of firearms and/or ammunition, Theft in the 2nd Degree and Theft in the 3rd Degree.
