LCSO responded to a single vehicle ATV accident near 1147 Blaines Crossing Rd

Linn County, IOWA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate incident occurred around 1:14 p.m. Monday afternoon.

It happened near 1147 Blaines Crossing Rd. in Bertram.

Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies, Linn County Rescue, Mt. Vernon Fire, Lisbon Fire and Area Ambulance responded to a single vehicle ATV accident.

The responding crews discovered that a 17-year-old female was operating a Polaris 700 Ranger in the City Park area when she lost control flipping the vehicle onto its side.

A 16-year-old male passenger was transported by Area Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver and a third passenger were not hurt.

The driver of the ATV has been charged with Reckless Driving, No Insurance and No Valid Driver’s License.
