21-year-old suspect arrested, charged with domestic assault with intent to cause injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon
Waterloo, IOWA – According to the Waterloo Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 4 a.m. early Monday morning.
It happened in the 1200 block of South Street.
Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they reportedly heard one gun shot.
Officers determined the gun shot had come from a subject at 1223 South Street.
The 21-year-old suspect, later identified as Tywaun Wilson, came out of the residence and was detained.
A search warrant was served at the residence and a .22 caliber rifle with an obliterated serial number was seized.
Wilson was charged with domestic assault with intent to cause injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and reckless use of firearm.
