University of Iowa Police investigating robbery, suspect sought

Iowa City, IA – According to the University of Iowa Police, the robbery occurred right after 10 p.m. late Monday night.

It happened at the Art Building West located at 141 N. Riverside Drive.

University of Iowa Police officers responded to a report of a first degree robbery.

The responding officers made contact with the victim who reportedly told them that she was walking home when she was approached from behind and attacked by an unknown male.

The unidentified victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The victim described the suspect as a white male with brown hair wearing a red and white jacket. 

This incident remains under investigation.
