21-year-old suspect arrested on drug charges following high-speed chase

Scott County, IA – According to the police officials, the 21-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Monday.

His name is Kendrick Lee Jr. and he is now charged with eluding, possession with the intent to deliver, failure to have tax stamp, driving while barred, interference with official acts, reckless driving, speeding and traffic control device.

This incident occurred right after midnight early Monday morning.

ISP troopers attempted to pull over Chevrolet Traverse for speeding.

The driver then failed to stop at a red light and sped off.

Police officials said the 21-year-old suspect also sped over 110 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The chase ended on Bridge Avenue and Lee was taken into custody.

The responding officers reportedly found 2 bags of marijuana (more than 40 grams) and a digital scale with marijuana residue.
