Single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 60 leaves two injured

Osceola County, IA – OCSO said the accident occurred around 3:51 p.m. Monday afternoon.
It happened on U.S. Highway 60.
Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies discovered that the 41-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on the highway when the vehicle left the roadway.
The vehicle then rolled several times and landed upside down.
The 41-year-old driver suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
He was later identified as Gilbert Chavez.
The 31-year-old female passenger was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
She was later identified as Dezirae Barela.
This incident remains under investigation by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
