62-year-old man taken into custody after woman found dead Saturday evening

Cedar Rapids, IA – Police officials said this incident occurred right after 6 p.m. Saturday evening.
It happened on 10th Avenue.
Cedar Rapids Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one female victim.
Police said the unidentified victim suffered a blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 62-year-old man who reportedly called 911 was arrested and taken into custody.
His name is Arthur Flowers and he is now charged with 1st-degree murder.
Flowers was bookend into the Linn County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation.
