47-year-old man sentenced to 262 months in federal prison for drug charges

Clinton, IA – According to the court documents, the 47-year-old defendant was sentenced on Wednesday.

His name is Eric Coleman and he was sentenced to 21 years and 10 months in federal prison.

Prosecutors said the 47-year-old defendant reportedly sold methamphetamine to a confidential source on two occasions in an undercover DEA operation.

The 47-year-old defendant pleaded guilty, court records say.

According to the court documents, Coleman must serve 5 years of supervised release after his prison term and immediately pay a $200 Special Assessment to the Crime Victims’ Fund.

U.S. Attorney Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement.
