37-year-old driver sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following single-vehicle crash on Highway 151 at Taylor Road

Linn County, IA – According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred right before 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

It happened on Highway 151 at Taylor Road.

Linn County Sheriff’s deputies, Linn County Rescue crews, Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies, Anamosa Police Department officers, Springville Fire Department crews and Anamosa Ambulance responded to a report of a single vehicle crash.

The responding deputies discovered that the 37-year-old driver of Black Ford Escape, later identified as Eric Sawvell, was driving Eastbound on Highway 151 when he left the roadway into the South ditch, vaulted over Taylor Road and rolled into the yard of 182 Dubuque Rd/Highway 151.

The 37-year-old man reportedly suffered a medical event which lead to the accident.

Sawmill, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
