27-year-old suspect arrested, charged with first-degree murder in woman’s death

West Des Moines, IA – Police officials said the 27-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Friday.

His name is Nathen Cameron and he is now charged with multiple charges, including: first-degree murder, willful injury causing serious injury, domestic assault with strangulation, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and a drug tax stamp violation.

The charges stem from February 12 incident, police said.

This incident occurred on Vista Drive.

West Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a report of a female that had fallen from a balcony.

The responding officers found one adult female victim.

Police said the woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

She was later identified as Trisha Kunze.

This incident remains under investigation.
