17-year-old driver dies following single-vehicle crash on 195th Trail; 3 others injured

Madison County, IA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, the fatal accident occurred Sunday morning.
It happened on 195th Trail.
Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that the 17-year-old driver of GMC Sierra lost control of their vehicle, went into a ditch and struck a tree.
The 17-year-old driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.
Three other passengers also suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The name of the driver and the three passengers have not been released.
This incident remains under investigation.
